Meals

At Chesterholm Lodge we firmly believe that only the best quality foods should be used. We shop weekly, and use local suppliers to ensure that we serve only the freshest produce. We encourage Service users to have an input into meals and snacks provided. All tastes and requirements are catered for. Breakfast is served buffet style to allow Service users to choose what they want, when they want it.

We give food a very high priority as we understand the importance of good nutrition. Food is generally very important to people for various reasons and we do our very best to deliver food that appeals to everyone. We are regularly complimented on the quality of our meals and most definately do not do 'portion control'!





All meals are prepared in our newly fitted kitchen using only fresh ingredients. All special diets are catered for and choices offered at every mealtime.

Meals may be taken in one of the dining rooms, or in the Service users own room if preferred. The routine at Chesterholm Lodge is very flexible and we are more than happy to accommodate individual routines as we encourage independance in all aspects of life.

  • Breakfast 07:00 - 09:00
  • Morning Tea/Coffee 10:00 - 11:00
  • Lunch 12:30 - 14.00
  • Afternoon Tea/Coffee 15:00 - 15:30
  • Supper 17:00 - 17:30
  • Evening Drinks 20:00

We vary the menu every day and it is different during the summer and winter periods.




 

BELOW IS A TYPICAL DAILY MENU:

Breakfast

  • Fruit Juices - orange, grapefruit or tomato
  • Selection of cereals, including porridge
  • Natural or Fruit Yoghurts
  • Croissants or Toast, served with a selection of jams and marmalades
  • Bacon, eggs, sausages, beans or tomatoes
  • Tea or Coffee


Lunch 


Main Courses

  • Chicken Casserole served with duchess potatoes and a selection of fresh vegetables.
  • Poached cod with cheese sauce, baby new potatoes and a selection of fresh vegetables.


Salads

  • Freshly made salads complimented with your choice of cheese, ham, salmon or tuna.


Desserts

  • Home made bread and butter pudding with custard.
  • Ice cream or yoghurt.
  • Cheese and biscuits.


Supper

  • Smoked haddock.
  • Various selection of sandwiches.
  • Poached Eggs on toast.
  • Creme caramel, Ice cream, Yoghurt or cheese and biscuits.
